One of the effects of the racial wealth gap is Black entrepreneurs’ inability to afford legal guidance to help them build thriving businesses. Through Black Connect’s Small Business Legal Services Program, over 300 Black entrepreneurs across the U.S. have received a quarter of a million dollars in business-related pro bono legal services. Thank you to Angela Majette for your tireless efforts in fighting for Black entrepreneurs to have access to legal guidance along their entrepreneurial journeys and thank you to Foley & Lardner LLP for stepping up and truly supporting Black Connect through legal assistance for our members, financial contributions to the organization, amazing events and an all-around remarkable partnership!
Here at Foley, we believe every voice deserves a worthy advocate. In 2022, Angela M., the founder of Black Connect, introduced us to Wilbur Pack, Jr., the owner and creative director of B.Brave by SK WiLBUR, LLC.. Wilbur shares his story of how our pro bono legal services and commitment to racial justice have brought his lifestyle brand off the ground, built it bigger, and made a meaningful impact on young people around the world.
