  • Do you ever sit and reminisce on the games you used to play when you were younger? I have and do on a regular basis. I feel like most of us grew up wanting to be a Doctor, Lawyer, Fireman, etc. I remember in 4th grade being asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" (I was asked this in an interview recently too). I responded, "A business woman". Because while others were excited about becoming a Doctor, Lawyer, Fireman, etc, I loved seeing women on T.V. being straight bosses. In grade school, I had a mentor who worked for a company called WH Brady now known as Brady Corporation. We would visit the company and have lunch twice a year. During our tour we would get stickers, paper, notepads, pens, and all. I couldn't wait to get home to play "Store". I used my allowance to buy play money. All of my toys and books became items to purchase, and my stickers from Brady became labels. I was a one girl show. I was the customer, owner, procurement specialist, accountant, I did it all. I was in fact a business a woman. So when Mr. Martin asked me to explain what I meant by "Business Woman", I wish I would have said all of this. 😅
