    Everyday, I see big missed opportunities... So many well known brands are not on Xiaohongshu for overseas Chinese consumers. The platform has 2 million active users in the US and Canada. Plus another 2 million tourists are searching the Little Red Book while traveling here.     Every year at this time, we take family photos. This year, the fall colours look particularly beautiful. Looking at these photos, I’ve found a place of comfort in my busy life as an entrepreneur and a frantic mom and wife trying to balance kids’ sports practices, writing client strategy porposals and everything in between. I want to use this opportunity to reintroduce myself - as a small business owner, as a mom, wife and community member. I think it is very important to do that because who we are is a full package. I’m a first generation Canadian, originally from China. I have two decades of experience in marketing and PR in North America and China. I left a six figure stable job to become an entrepreneur. I now run a marketing agency BEYOO - Lifestyle Marketing Agency. With team members and partners in LA, Toronto, Calgary and Shanghai, we focus on the Asian diaspora community and Asian market entry for North American luxury, travel and health and fitness brands. Our mission is to help promote the Asian way of life, help brands cross the cultural boundaries, build awareness, gain customers using the right strategies. Another one of my selfish goals is, I hope, through raising awareness about internationalism, cross-cultural understandings, my children, girls of Chinese descent, will enjoy more freedom and more opportunities to be whoever they choose be and to realize their fullest potential.
