Congratulations to Asa Hamlett Santa Cruz on an incredible tenure as the State Territory Associate Representative for AIA North Carolina! Your leadership and dedication have made a significant impact, including the licensing of 11 new architects in the state. We are so proud to have you representing BDG Architects as you continue your journey with the National Associate Committee. Thank you for being such a strong advocate for the next generation of architects!
Today marks the end of an era representing AIA North Carolina as their State Territory Associate Representative the last two years. I’m so proud of everything I was able to bring to the table and have accomplished. Thanks to our partnership with Black Spectacles, we now have 11 new LICENSED architects in the state of North Carolina. I now pass the baton to Abigail Gillin Can’t wait to see all the things you will continue to build. Please know my journey doesn’t end here. I will continue my work with the National Associate Committee as the Strategic Partnership Chair for the next two years. I look forward to representing AIA Charlotte, AIA North Carolina, and BDG Architects and elevating the Associates’ voices in a National level with The American Institute of Architects (AIA). Let’s continue building the next generation of architects. Finally, a huge thank you to my husband Tyler Hamlett. He’s my biggest cheerleader and supporter. It’s the Holiday season here at the Glazer Children's Museum and every year we host a Gingerbread build challenge! The rules are that you have to pick a Tampa site, and use recycled/recyclable materials. We had a total of 6 builds this year and the first one I’m going to highlight is by BDG Architects!
