Lights, camera, spotlight 📸 We’re starting off the week with some sparkling feedback from Abigail of Chapters and Leadership at the ANFP: "We were so glad to find a platform that allows us to support our chapters and give them independence. There are complications managing an association partially composed of volunteers who aren’t experienced with digital banking, but Crowded’s platform is so user-friendly that it was easily adopted across the organization." We love getting inspired by all the brilliant ways associations and other multichapter organizations are using Crowded for digital banking. #AssociationManagement #DigitalBanking #UserFriendly #Innovation #Crowded

Our Bucharest office is officially in full swing 🏌🏌 We kicked things off with a successful tech community meetup, bringing together the Bucharest tech community for an evening of workshops, networking, food and drinks. To celebrate our hard work and continued growth, the team came together for some fun cookie decorating, a delicious team dinner, and some festive holiday cheer. 🍪✨ A special highlight was having Shay, our CTO based in Tel Aviv, visit to see all the exciting developments happening in Bucharest. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, reflect on our progress, and look ahead to even more innovation in the new year! Here’s to more success, growth, and unforgettable moments with this amazing team! #TeamCrowded #TechMeetup #OfficeCelebration #Growth #BucharestOffice #HolidaySeason

With 2025 around the corner, the IRS may soon release an update on the planned $600 threshold for P2P payment app tax reporting, which I was quoted about earlier this year in The Fintech Times in the context of nonprofits & compliance (link below) Rewinding a bit, in 2021 the IRS stated that anyone collecting over $600 in goods and services payments on Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc. would be liable to pay taxes on that income. There was a ton of pushback, so the threshold was raised - until 2025 when the $600 limit is set to go into effect. This is especially relevant for nonprofits using these platforms to sell tickets, cookies, and merchandise, who shouldn't be liable for paying taxes, but if they use these P2P apps, then they would. To bypass this, nonprofits can use payment processing platforms (like Crowded) to get the money in the door and not owe anything to the IRS.
