Happy Holidays from Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc.! Last Friday, BCRI held a wonderful holiday party full of music, food, decorations, and togetherness. The event featured catered food for staff, a rotating presentation sharing countless accomplishments from 2024, and a Hope Wall where staff tacked up their hopes and aspirations for 2025 onto a holiday-themed bulletin board. Pictured below are our Board Chair & President, Jennifer Curran, Esq. and board member Robin Neverdon posing under the photo op arch with BCRI's Executive Director Johnathan Davis, LPC, NCC. Also pictured is our team from Western Maryland in Allegany County, who made a 2-hour drive to take part in the revelry – and they brought some light flurries with them as it began to snow outside! As BCRI reflects on a wonderful 2024 full of meaningful services and supports for its communities, we are also grateful for AmeriCorps VISTA for providing full-time volunteers in order to build anti-poverty internal capacity for the organization. Thanksgiving is almost upon us! But while most people are aware of or recognize Thanksgiving, many people aren’t as aware of #GivingTuesday, which falls on the Tuesday just after Thanksgiving. Taking place on December 3rd this year, #GivingTuesday is a global movement that spreads awareness of ways to donate and support the mission and services of different organizations and nonprofits that serve their communities.
