There's nearly 500 pages of regulation in the new rule - so here at BAL, we are still analyzing the full impact of the update. However, we can highlight a few changes so far: 📒 The regulation will be published tomorrow and go into effect on January 17th (importantly, before inauguration day). 🧑🎓 Provisions regarding codification of the deference policy and extension of cap-gap remain in the final rule. 👏 Greater clarification of the Specialty Occupation requirement - in particular, defining "directly related" more broadly. Thanks Eileen Lohmann for your analysis here! One of the most important aspects of a great team is the ability to celebrate wins—big or small—and to enjoy each other’s company along the way. In the busyness of deadlines and goals, it's easy to forget the importance of taking a step back to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that everyone brings to the table. Those moments of celebration, whether a quick coffee break, a gingerbread house contest, an ugly sweater team lunch, or a holiday party, are more than just fun—they’re a reminder of the connections that make our work meaningful and rewarding. As we wrap up another year, I encourage you to take a moment to appreciate the incredible people around you. Take time to celebrate what you’ve accomplished together and look forward to the opportunities ahead. In a world that often moves quickly, embracing these moments of connection is truly a gift. ❤️ Wishing you all a joyful and restful holiday season. Here's to the strength of great teams and the power of celebrating together! Happy Holidays! ✨🎄❄️💫 #BAL #Immigration #MondayFunday #Boston #Pursuetheexceptional
