Great news to hear for Hudbay, congratulations!!
Hudbay is pleased to announce that it has received the Air Quality Permit from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) for Copper World. This marks a significant milestone in the advancement of the project as it is the final major permit required for the development and operation of Copper World. We are deeply grateful for the strong support shown by the local community for this project and remain focused on delivering lasting benefits to Arizona. Copper World will create over 400 direct jobs and up to 3,000 indirect jobs, offering competitive wages and benefits. Hudbay will invest a total of $1.7 billion to construct Phase I of Copper World and the project is expected to contribute more than $850 million in U.S. taxes. Copper World will play a critical role in meeting domestic copper needs, supporting U.S. manufacturing and contributing to energy independence.
