From flying in a Cessna 172, to restoring award-winning warbirds at Oshkosh! ✨ We spoke with Mike Vadeboncoeur, Founder of Midwest Aero Restorations, about his P-51 Mustang and his journey in Aviation Maintenance. 🛠️ His journey began with a young boy's fascination with flight, sparked by an early experience soaring through the skies. This passion is what made Mike pursue aviation maintenance technology training in Tulsa, OK at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. With his with newfound knowledge and skill, he looked to gain hands-on experience and had the privilege of working at the Harvey Young Airport where helped restore vintage Warbirds. Fueled by a lifelong passion for aviation maintenance, he has dedicated his skills to restoring iconic aircraft like the T-6 Texan and P-51 Mustang, both of which achieved the prestigious Grand Champion title at the Oshkosh Airshow. Today, he finds immense joy in sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with fellow aviation enthusiasts worldwide! ✈️
