Here are the highlights from the #ASCDATA 2024 Q3 Report ·  Number of Medicare-Certified ASCs in the US: 6,394 (+12) ·  Total Number of ORs in ASCs across the US: 18,485 ·  Number of Single Specialty ASCs: 3,308 ·  Number of Multi-Specialty ASCs: 3,086 ·  Average Number of ORs in a Single Specialty ASCs: 2.25 ·  Average Number of ORs in Multi-Speciality ASCs: 3.58 ·  Overall Average Number of ORs per ASC: 2.89 Collectively this should continued growth throughout the third quarter. The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) is currently analyzing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) proposed 2025 payment rule for Ambulatory Surgery Centers (#ASCs) and hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs). ASCA members will soon have access to our full analysis of the 984-page proposal, as well as an updated rate calculator that allows users to determine what #surgerycenters will be paid locally if the proposal is adopted.
