At our annual company offsite, we were proud to welcome the Artolution organization for an afternoon of service and appreciation. The Artolution LionTree collaborative canvas mural was painted by over 80 LionTree employees along with youth from the Patterson public housing community in the South Bronx with the Center for Justice Innovation. The mural depicts a lion and lioness facing a blooming tree. Inside the lions, you’ll find words that embody our shared vision for the future. The final artwork will be on display at the Patterson Public Housing Projects Community Center, where the youth who participated in the program will be able to share their work with the local community for years to come.

A Portrait of Resilience: Leen's Story In Jordan, a remarkable 7-year-old girl named Leen has become a shining example of creativity, resilience, and the power of community. Living with a disability that affects her movement, daily life, and studies, Leen has been embraced with unwavering support from her family and school. Leen's journey took a transformative turn when she participated in a mural project at her school. Her face became the central image of the artwork, and her inspiring story shaped the entire creation. This mural doesn’t just adorn the school walls—it celebrates Leen’s strength, contributions, and creativity. The graduation ceremony was a deeply moving moment as Leen’s mother expressed her immense pride. Leen herself beamed with joy, seeing her face painted on the mural and knowing she played an active role in its creation. Leen’s story reminds us of the profound impact of inclusivity, creativity, and community in empowering individuals with disabilities to shine. Her happiness, her achievements, and her resilience are proof of the limitless possibilities that come with support and acceptance. Here’s to Leen—a symbol of hope, strength, and the power of art to inspire. 💙 #Artolution #ResilienceThroughArt #CommunityArt #InclusionMatters #JordanStories #ArtForChange

Celebrating Unity on International Human Solidarity Day Today, on International Human Solidarity Day, we honor the power of community and connection to create change. At Artolution, our work is rooted in the belief that collaboration and creativity can bring people together, even in the most challenging circumstances. From Rohingya refugees painting murals in Bangladesh to young artists in Uganda creating sculptures from recycled materials, solidarity is at the heart of everything we do. These projects are more than art—they are acts of healing, resilience, and shared humanity. Let’s remember that when we stand in solidarity, we build a more inclusive, compassionate world—one brushstroke, one story, one community at a time. #InternationalHumanSolidarityDay #Artolution #ResilienceThroughArt #CommunityArt #TogetherWeCreate

This International Migrants Day, we celebrate resilience, connection, and the power of art to transform lives. For Lulual Marjan, a 17-year-old Rohingya refugee, creating art became a way to feel seen and welcomed. Reflecting on her experience painting a mural in Ukhiya, she shared: “I drew flowers in my hands—to represent the welcome I felt from the people here in Ukhiya to the displaced Rohingya people.” Through collaborative art-making, Lulual and her peers found hope, belonging, and a way to share their stories. At Artolution, we witness the profound impact of art in empowering migrant and refugee communities. Together, we’re creating spaces where everyone has a voice and a chance to heal. If you’d like to support stories like Lulual’s, visit the link in our bio to learn more about our End-of-Year Campaign: The Art of Resilience. #InternationalMigrantsDay #Artolution #ArtForChange #ResilienceThroughArt #MigrantsMatter

Integrating Art into Humanitarian Efforts to Build Resilience We are proud to see our partnership with Medair featured in The Philanthropist. The article (available in German) highlights the transformative role of art in strengthening resilience within crisis-affected communities. Together, we’re addressing not only the visible challenges of humanitarian crises but also the critical need to support mental health and psychosocial well-being. Through collaborative art projects, music, theater, and creative expression, we aim to foster self-expression, confidence, social connections, and resilience. This initiative is designed to reach 12,000 individuals by 2025 and impact 48,000 lives over five years, improving access to mental health services and empowering communities through art. We are excited to join forces with Medair to integrate these approaches into humanitarian work, transforming challenges into opportunities for healing and connection. Humanitären Krisen führen zu psychosozialen und psychischen Belastungen bei den Betroffenen. Geschätzt ein Fünftel der Menschen in einem Konfliktgebiet leiden an Depressionen oder Angstzuständen. Art is not just a form of expression; it’s a lifeline. At Artolution, we’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of art in some of the most challenging places on earth—refugee camps, conflict zones, and marginalized communities. Through murals, workshops, and shared stories, we’ve seen children rediscover joy, refugees rebuild their identities, and communities come together to heal. 💡 Over 10,000 lives transformed in 35 countries. 💡 25% of participants report improved emotional resilience. 💡 38.5% growth in belief that girls deserve equal opportunities. At Artolution, we believe in the transformative power of art to build bridges and inspire change. We're proud to partner with UNHCR Bulgaria in creating impactful projects that uplift communities, amplify voices, and foster resilience. Through collaborative art-making, we aim to turn shared stories into vibrant public artworks that celebrate connection, creativity, and hope. Together, we’re transforming walls into powerful expressions of unity and belonging.
I am in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2023, UNHCR hosted a regional training here for 18 refugee and host community artists, traveling from 9 countries around Europe, to learn about how to provide community arts-based psychosocial support to foster self and community expression, social cohesion and integration. Over a dozen murals and projects have been created with forcibly displaced children and youth and their host communities in Bulgaria and across the region. I visited an artwork in a school in Sofia today and it made me very happy. I encourage you to visit this magical place when in Sofia.
