On July 11, Ariat team members participated in “Summer Build 2024,” a collaboration between Fortitude Careers and Swinerton Construction where participants acquire hands-on experience working on a construction project on-site with experts, project managers, instructors, and trade journeymen. Fortitude Careers offers a free pre-apprenticeship program in San Mateo County, CA to high school graduates and young adults looking to start a career in the trades. The program also focuses on teaching life mastery skills including financial and relationship management, effective communication (with employers, clients, and in their personal lives), and emotional regulation skills. As a way to show our support for the current and next generation of tradesmen and women, we gifted the students and instructors with Ariat Work boots, pants, and tees. A special thank you to Drey'Lon Pree, Nicole Davis, Dave Gremaux, Fortitude Careers, and Swinerton for hosting us at Summer Build 2024 and for all the great work they are doing to give back to the community!
