  • "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you.” – Jeremiah 1:5 --- God formed each of us with a purpose and mission in mind. Today’s celebration of the Immaculate Conception of Mary recognizes that she too had a purpose: Mary was conceived immaculately (without sin), to prepare her for the mission to be the Theotokos or “God-bearer”, the Mother of God. --- How and for what is God preparing you? We ask that the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for us as we seek to live out the mission God has for each of us. 🙏 #immaculateconception #mary #bostoncatholic

  • Hi folks, Archbishop Henning here to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. I had the chance to make a visit with my dog, Agnes, to the place where it all began, the beautiful Pilgrim Memorial State Park in Plymouth. I give thanks for the gift of this new ministry in the Archdiocese of Boston and I hope that for each and every one of us, this weekend will be a time to give thanks to the Lord and to gather with friends and family. May God bless you and all those you love.

  • We invite you to watch this reflection from Archbishop Henning on his first few weeks as Archbishop of Boston. "I look forward to so many things as I begin a new chapter in my priestly life and ministry with you. First and foremost I will be listening and learning about this remarkable community with its rich Catholic history. I'm eager to put my gifts in service to the people, the parishes and my brother priests, and the greater Church." 🙏 🎥 #MeetArchbishopHenning

  • As the Archdiocese prepares to welcome Archbishop-elect Richard Henning, we also take this time to recognize the ministry of Cardinal Seán O'Malley. Over the next eight weeks, we will reflect on his contributions to our Archdiocese, beginning today with a look back at the ordination of priests in 2019, a testament to his enduring commitment to nurturing faith and leadership in our community. Largest Ordination of Priests to the Priesthood in 2 Decades: May 18, 2019. The cardinal ordains 13 priests at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, the largest ordination class in two decades. #ServantLeader #ThankYouCardinalSeán #HeartOfACapuchin
