About us
The Arbogast Performing Arts Center (APAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a venue for performing and visual arts, along with special events, to the greater Miami Valley region and its schools. Its mission is to inspire creative and educational development and to initiate collaborative programming that reflects community interests. This mission is grounded in philanthropy, with a $2 million donation from philanthropists Dave and Linda Arbogast spearheading its creation. APAC continues to focus on community service, providing low-cost usage for schools and nonprofits, thanks to ongoing fundraising efforts. Key Highlights and Features: Facility: A 39,000-square-foot building that includes a 1,200-seat auditorium with tiered seating, a 75x50 stage, a spacious lobby, a second-floor lobby and art gallery, a catering kitchen, dressing rooms, eight restrooms, conference, and meeting rooms. The center features state-of-the-art "plug-and-play" technology suitable for various events. Flexible Spaces: The lobby mini-stage for pre-show performances, conference rooms, and an art gallery to accommodate a range of community events. A café with a bar and a patio offers concessions and is designed to host receptions and meetings. Community Benefits: Educational opportunities engage schools through combined programs. Touring groups provide educational interactions, such as free dance clinics. Wide Variety of Offerings: Events based on community interests, including concerts, comedy shows, and performances, result from a series of focus groups to determine regional preferences. Economic Impact: Provides a mid-size venue that stimulates the local economy by attracting visitors to nearby restaurants, lodging, and retail.
