A special thank you to our Community Outreach Committee Co-Chairs, Kevin Compton and Jennifer Gonzalez, the committee, and all the amazing volunteers for your help with the Operation Breakthrough Christmas Warehouse! Operation Breakthrough had a huge undertaking this year helping over 800 families. The AAKC volunteers helped to sort and organize toys as well as helping shop for these families and their children. Thanks to your hard work this means over 2,000 children are going to have a wonderful morning on December 25th! #GivingBack #WeAreAAKC
About us
The Apartment Association of Kansas City was established in 1974 to serve the apartment industry along with the National Apartment Association and the Kansas and Missouri associations. Together we provide legislative insight on a local, state and national level. We serve approximately 1116 members with over 118,153 units, which consist of apartment property owners, developers, managers and member communities. Also included are 255 suppliers who provide products and services to our industry. Together, our members contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to the state’s economy through taxes, fees, construction and purchases from advertising to utilities. Our association supports the Kansas and Missouri Fair Housing Law, the Kansas and Missouri Landlord Tenant Act and the Multi Housing Crime Prevention Programs; this is a cooperative effort by local police departments and a growing number of apartment communities who are making rental housing safer for residents. By joining the AAKC, you help to keep the industry vital. Your dues ensure a strong voice in local and state government and help provide educational programs, which serve to keep high levels of professionalism within the rental housing industry. By joining AAKC, you become a positive force in the growth and prosperity of multi-housing in Missouri and Kansas. AAKC Mission StatementThe Mission of The Apartment Association of Kansas City is to protect owners of multifamily housing from harmful legislation through effective political representation; to offer educational opportunities for professional leadership in the industry; to communicate with our members regarding local, state and national issues; and prudent administration of our resources.
