Muchas Gracias! 🙏 Showing our appreciation for all who attended and supported Torrance Memorial's Hispanic Heritage Month Health Fair: Latinos Living Healthy. On October 1, Torrance Memorial, with our sponsor Vivity, offered by Anthem Blue Cross, hosted a free health fair for the community featuring informative lectures from our physicians and dietitian nutritionists, in both Spanish and English, as well as free health screenings. Our health care partners Cancer Support Community South Bay, the American Cancer Society, and Venice Family Clinic were also on hand to link South Bay residents with health resources. We can't wait to see you again next year. ¡Nos vemos allí! #FlashbackFriday #HispanicHealth #Healthcare #TorranceMemorial

  • It can be hard to make healthy changes if you don't know you need to make them in the first place. We make it easy for you to educate your employees about heart health with our wellness toolkit: https://ow.ly/wBly50Tjy7I A physical checks for indicators like cholesterol, body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure which are all important factors to monitor for heart health. Consider sharing heart health lifestyle and risk factor content to keep your employees healthy. #WorldHeartDay #UseHeart

  • Help your employees build strength and manage back pain so they can feel their best. When you know how to prevent it, not only can pain management, mobility, and productivity be improved, but so can the quality of life for your employees. To maintain a strong back, practice good posture, eat calcium-rich foods, and try low-impact exercises like yoga and swimming. Our Back and Joint Pain Program in 2023 resulted in 89% improved ability and a 69% reduction in pain for groups receiving tailored, whole-health solutions through the program, like PT and health coaching. Contact your Anthem Sales representative or send us a message for more information on this program. #PainAwarenessMonth #PreventiveCare

  • Today is the start of Autumn! Not only is it a change in seasons - colder weather, shorter days, in-season produce, etc. - but it can be a period of new beginnings. Fall is a great opportunity to find ways to stay active, spice up our diet and explore our wellness habits. What are you excited about in the #Fall?

  • This September, for National Suicide Prevention Month, we're shedding light on the importance of mental health, particularly among children and teens. We're proud to partner with Shine Light on Depression, an initiative that provides free, valuable content for families and schools to address the mental health challenges facing our youth. We hope with this toolkit we can open the conversation and provide resources to support mental health in an inclusive, supportive way: https://lnkd.in/gzBDcBui Every conversation can make a difference. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #SuicidePreventionMonth #MentalHealthMatters
