The world's first fully decentralized biometrics, where personal privacy meets digital security.
About us
Decentralization of data is key for maintaining personal privacy, data protection and digital security. Yet, today’s solutions fall short. Centralized databases are prone to hacks and device-based solutions leave gaping security holes that fraudsters exploit. Anonybit goes to the root of the problem – how biometric data is stored and managed. Instead of building higher walls around centralized databases or storing biometrics on devices only to use passcodes as a fallback, we ask, what if there was no data to find? What if there was no biometric template to store? Welcome to Anonybit. The world’s first FULLY decentralized biometrics, where personal privacy meets digital security.

Today's Identity in a New York Minute is a MYTH BUSTER. Anonybit is NOT blockchain biometrics. In fact, blockchain is not suited for biometrics and trying to do it is a bad idea. Here’s why: 🚫 Privacy Risks: Blockchains are designed to be transparent, which is great for verifying transactions but disastrous for personal data and especially biometrics. 🚫 Scalability and Processing: Blockchains are not optimized to handle vast amounts of data and they are not meant for processing/computation, only storage. So if you store biometrics on the blockchain, they need to come off-chain for processing and that defeats the whole purpose. 🚫 Right to be Forgotten: Data protection regulations give people the right to request that their personal data be erased. Blockchain does not allow for this. At Anonybit, we leverage MPCs and ZKPs to storage and process the data in a distributed, scalable way. The pieces never come back together and never get reassembled or reengineered, a subject of a future myth buster episode. If you want to get into the the data protection regulations themselves, hit me up for a white paper on how our approach helps enterprises meet and exceed data protection requirements. #innovation #biometrics #biometricsecurity #blockchain #mpcs #zeroknowledge #privacypreserving #privacymatters #anonybit #identitymanagement
