  • Storage. A hot topic for many brands. While having it included in the price of your can package is enticing, it can also lead to paying for something you don't need, at least not at the scale you're being charged. As you calculate total costs and where there are opportunities to save, consider your actual storage requirements at any given time and then compare rates not only from your vendor but offsite providers as well. You may be surprised what you find, especially over time. Pro tip: Service oriented vendors can help you optimize your ordering cadence to receive the best pricing AND limit storage requirements. Don't be afraid to ask how. Storage is an often overpaid and hidden cost. #beverageindustry #cpgbeverage #aluminumcans

What is the saltiest beverage you have consumed in a can? Interestingly enough, the saltiest beverage we have tested in aTULC is a beer. While there are general guidelines in terms of what beverage categories are typically hard-to-hold, it's critical not to over generalize. Any product or category can experience failure if the composition is right (or should we say wrong...). #canpackaging #aluminumcans #beverageindustry #beverageCPG

  • Same beverage, two different cans. One failed. One didn’t. What’s the difference? The can on the right was built for the beverage inside of it and the left wasn’t. Some liquids aren’t made to be in a traditional epoxy or BPANI aluminum can. They are ‘hard-to-hold’ and can eat away at the can, via microfissures in the liner as a result of inconsistent, spray-on applications. More simply said, the way liners are traditionally applied in cans isn’t sufficient for every beverage type. Some beverages, due to their acidity, sodium, or sulfite content, will exploit inconsistencies in the protective can liner, resulting in corrosion that ultimately leads to leaky product and off-putting flavors. Rotten eggs anyone? On the contrary, aTULC cans are specifically made to withstand hard-to-hold liquids because the rolled-on liner doesn’t have microscopic holes that can be exploited by the corrosive ingredients. If you’re a beverage producer who would rather invest in your brand and your packaging rather than an insurance plan, you can learn about the aTULC can at our website created specifically to raise awareness on the best way to package premium beverages in cans.

We recently produced the first 16oz aTULC cans in the world. What's more exciting is that in doing so, we challenged (previous) limitations on the internal can liner regarding chloride content and helped enable a brand to expand their product line in cans. 👍 A more convenient and accessible option for customers. 🌎 A more sustainable package for our planet. ⚡ Protective packaging for peak freshness and maximum shelf life. 🎉 The chance to help a stellar team with an amazing drink expand on their dreams. We love what we do. #aTULC #aluminumcans #beverageindustry #beverageCPG #beverageinnovation #packaginginnovation
