🥁 Drum roll, please... 🥁 APPA is thrilled to announce our inaugural Community Supervision Professional of the Month: Ms. Deb Minardi! 🎉 Join us in the comments to congratulate Ms. Minardi. After more than 40 years of dedicated service in Nebraska, Ms. Minardi is retiring from the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation. A true trailblazer for women in the field, she began her career as a probation officer in 1980 and, by 1989, became the youngest Chief Probation Officer in Nebraska - and the only woman - overseeing the state’s largest judicial jurisdiction in Omaha. For the past 18 years, she served in the Administrative Office of the Courts, most recently as Administrator. Ms. Minardi’s legacy includes her significant role in implementing evidence-based practices in Nebraska’s community supervision programs. Reflecting on her career, she said, “I knew something better was out there than trail 'em, nail 'em, and jail 'em. That really energized me with hope for our future.” A longtime APPA member and supporter, Ms. Minardi has contributed immensely to the field, including serving as Vice President on APPA’s Executive Board and mentoring emerging leaders through our Leadership Institute program. As she embarks on her well-earned retirement, Ms. Minardi plans to travel and remain connected to the profession she’s so deeply impacted. Know someone deserving of this recognition?
