We are pleased to announce that America's Grow-a-Row has achieved GreatNonProfits Top-Rated status for the 12th year in a row! "Summer 2023 was my first season volunteering for Americas Grow a Row. I signed up to be a “Swat Team” crop picker/sorter for one morning per week, and quickly became hooked. I began to eagerly look forward to my weekly stints in the fields with fellow volunteers, picking huge quantities of a variety of vegetables for food banks, pantries, soup kitchens and Free Farm Market programs. The staff are dedicated, super knowledgeable and very welcoming. The work was manual and often muddy but always purposeful. I loved every minute and am looking forward to volunteering again this growing season." -MC Read more reviews at: https://lnkd.in/eVDWUaDa

Transforming Lives. Growing Healthier Communities.
About us
America’s Grow-a-Row is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that grows, gleans, and gives nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables to people struggling with food insecurity headquartered in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. We believe that everyone deserves fresh food for healthy living. We donate over 3.5 million pounds – 14 million servings – of nutritious fruits and vegetables each year. Since our beginning in 2002, we have donated over 96 million servings – 24 million pounds – of fresh produce. With the help of over 11,000 volunteers each year, fresh produce is harvested from our farms and gleaned (or rescued) from local supermarkets and farms. That produce is donated to hunger relief agencies across 23 states nationwide through our network of distribution partners and locally at Free Farm Markets in low food access communities. We have a robust education program with a focus on budget-friendly healthy eating and cooking, agriculture, and hunger awareness.

Our harvest season has come to an end, and as we reflect on our successful year, we want to take a moment to thank all of our partners that make our mission possible. Among them is Bayer, whose commitment to community and food security has helped us achieve incredible milestones in 2024. Bayer’s ongoing commitment to hunger relief, from hands-on volunteering to financial support, ensures that healthy, fresh food reaches those who need it most. Their efforts go beyond New Jersey, impacting communities across North America, and we are deeply grateful for their continued partnership. Thank you, Bayer, for standing with us in the fight against hunger. Read more about our partnership with Bayer here: https://lnkd.in/e4Ck9Eww #Bayer #FoodSecurity #HealthforAllHungerforNone

Last week, we attended the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation's 18th Annual Northeast Benefit. Thank you, IICF for supporting us among several other incredible nonprofit organizations in our region through this inspiring event! #insurancegivesback
On December 4th, the IICF Northeast Division hosted their 18th Annual Northeast Benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street, and it was nothing short of amazing. Together, we raised over $1.4 million – a record-breaking achievement! With more than 620 attendees, the energy in the room was electric, and the impact we’re creating together is truly inspiring. Thanks to your generosity and commitment, the IICF Northeast Division continues to make a meaningful difference, awarding nearly 400 Community Grants and distributing $13 million to nonprofits across the New York Tri-State area since its inception. This year’s benefit allows us to proudly support 22 exceptional charitable organizations dedicated to strengthening our communities. A special thank you to our Leadership Sponsor, Aon, and our Benefactor Sponsors: Allianz, CNA Insurance, Crum & Forster, HUB International, Verisk, AIG, Chubb, CRC Insurance Services, Jencap, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Markel, Marsh & Guy Carpenter, Marsh McLennan Agency, Munich Re, NFP, an Aon company, PURE Insurance, RT Specialty, Sompo, Swiss Re, as well as the many other sponsors and contributors who make this event possible.
