Altrium recently hosted an engaging and interactive industry visit for APIIT 1st-year students, providing them with valuable insights into the tech industry. The day began with a dynamic workshop on Agile methodologies, where students actively participated in hands-on activities that illustrated the core principles of Agile, including collaboration, flexibility, and iterative progress. This engaging session helped students understand how Agile practices are applied in real-world projects and their significance in today’s fast-paced development environment. Following the Agile workshop, students were introduced to "Shaping Experience – Introduction to UX," where they explored how user-centered design impacts product development. They gained an understanding of the importance of designing for the end-user, ensuring that technology serves its purpose in the most intuitive and seamless way possible. The visit continued with an insightful overview of how our DevOps engineering department functions, highlighting the integration of development and operations for faster and more reliable delivery of software. The day wrapped up with a panel discussion on industry insights, where experts shared their knowledge on career paths in tech, key industry trends, and the skills needed to succeed in the ever-evolving tech landscape. Students were encouraged to stay curious and proactive in exploring their career options.
