Alternative Paths wants to congratulate the officers and dispatchers who graduated from the Medina County CIT Training Class of 2024 last week. This class marked the 20th Anniversary of the Medina County CIT Program! The training is put on annually by Alternative Paths and is funded by the Medina County ADAMH Board. Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) are community-based programs that bring together law enforcement, behavioral health professionals, advocates, people living with mental illness and their families, and other partners to improve community responses to people experiencing a mental health crisis. A special thank you to the Medina Police Department, Medina County Sheriff's Office, Wadsworth Police Department, Medina County Juvenile Detention Center, Hinckley Police Department, Brunswick Police, Medina County Park District, and Lodi Police Department for joining us this year!
