Plant Base Organic Solutions
About us
I founded Plant Base to share my healing journey and to help others heal naturally with plant-based organic solutions that benefit the mind, body, and soul. In 1994, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, which caused daily pain in all my joints. By 1999, the disease had destroyed the cartilage in my hips, leading to the need for prosthetic hips at age 17. Despite treatments, I faced constant pain, inflammation, and flare-ups. At 22, becoming a father added significant mental stress, which I noticed triggered physical flare-ups, highlighting the link between mental and physical health and how mental stress can cause a negative physical reaction. At 26 my rheumatologist told me that I would be on Enbrel or another immunosuppressant for the rest of my life but this made me question why I needed to suppress my immune system. I realized that God didn’t design our bodies to attack themselves; it must be something in my food intake causing the issue and the mental stress. I turned to a homeopathic approach, which was more affordable than paying out of pocket after losing my health insurance. By eating organic foods and using natural remedies, I lost weight and reduced inflammation. I discovered that genetically modified wheat, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and harmful oils were the main contributors to my inflammation and problems. Managing my mental health with marijuana and minimizing stress also prevented flare-ups as well. Now at 42, I’m in the best shape of my life. the realization that God has given us the ability to heal ourselves through plant-based organic solutions and our powerful minds is the message to Share!

If you are breeding genetics and using test results to determine quality, you are never going to come up with strains that compete with breeders using Aroma, smoothness of smoke, aroma in the air after smoked, trichome production, structure, yield, rate of growth, and resistance to bugs and mold. I don’t care how high your THC is, if it can’t compete in those other areas, it is not a winner, I don’t care what your test results say. I’ll take this 18% in the picture below over any of the 30% test scores they have… (Picture taken with iPhone and no filters)

Just before Thanksgiving we hosted our first “Municipal Immersion” event in Atlantic City. We invited municipal leaders and counsel, who were in town to attend the Annual Conference of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, to learn about psilocybin therapy and New Jersey Senate Bill 2283, the “Psilocybin Behavioral Health Services and Access Act.” Opening remarks were given by New Jersey State Senator Holly Schepisi, a co-sponsor of the Psilocybin Bill, who shared a personal story which expressed her passion and support for the Bill. Thanks to Victoria Sinisi and David M. White for their assistance. The “Immersion” part of the event was presented by Dr Jason Konner, a leading Medical Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Denise Rue, MA, MFA, MSW founder of the NJ Psychedelic Therapy Association, and Neal Usatin, an independent film editor/producer. They played the roles of physician, facilitator, and patient, respectively, and offered an accurate and touching glimpse into the psilocybin therapy patient’s journey as proposed by the Bill. Closing remarks were given by Victor Bohm of Balanced Veterans Network who shared his work with Veterans emphasizing the importance of providing them with access to legal psychedelic therapies. Robert (Bobby) Brier of NJ Spotlight News was in attendance, covering the event, and we appreciate his write up. A special thanks to Ronald Mondello, Theresa Brumble, Mollie Hartman Lustig, Esq., Natalie Lupiani, and Brittany Ann Bonetti for all of your help leading up to and during the event. We look forward to continuing this work in the coming year, planting the seeds for change on the municipal level. Joseph Shapiro, Esq. Sara Price, BSN, RN, NC-BC
