Happy almost New Year from Phoenix! If you've been following us throughout the year, you know that we rescued Phoenix during the historic Smokehouse Creek Fire in Texas earlier this year. After treatment for burned paws, singed whiskers, and smoke inhalation, we're so glad to say he's a gorgeous and thriving cat! Thank you for helping us have a lifesaving impact for cats year-long, including through disaster response. Your generosity and support mean everything to us and to the cats we protect.

We are speaking out against the consideration of a feeding ban for community cats in the Borough of Ambler, Pennsylvania. Feeding bans are cruel, ineffective, and penalize the very people working hardest to protect cats and improve their community. Rather than outlaw feeding community cats, Ambler should put its time and resources into Trap-Neuter-Return (#TNR), the only humane and effective approach to community cats. From a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot to a beautiful young cat who found his perfect adoptive home--Whiskers has come a long way and changed quite a bit on his journey with us! What matters most is that he's happy and healthy, and we have our supporters like YOU to thank. We're ready to hit the ground running to save even more cats' lives in 2025. We hope you'll join us; your support means the world: https://ow.ly/kEKE50Uxr2O

The best approach to community cats... ❌ Feeding bans ❌ Leash laws ❌ Impounding in shelters ✅ Trap-Neuter-Return (#TNR) TNR is the only humane and effective approach. Learn which laws harm vs help community cats: https://lnkd.in/g9aBGHDm

JUSTICE FOR CAT POISONING VICTIMS ❗ Alley Cat Allies applauds efforts to pursue animal cruelty charges against 5 individuals for the horrific and deadly poisoning of 13 community cats in Summerville, South Carolina, this fall. The cats, who were cared for by local #TNR advocates, suffered slow and agonizing deaths. We encourage the seeking of the maximum possible sentence for these crimes and are offering our support and assistance. Read our letter of support: https://ow.ly/2b3e50Ux4Jo
