During a magical Winter Wonderland bowling event, people wore their coziest outfits to celebrate the season. Here are a few of our best-dressed prize winners from Saturday's tournament. No one left empty-handed however because everyone who attended received a hand-crafted diamond art ornament made by organizer and community liaison, Lynne Brewer. It took Lynne nearly a year to create over two hundred unique pieces to share as a special holiday gift. Thank you Lynne for always ensuring that the members of our community can enjoy a wonderful time together.

It was a pleasure to welcome OPWDD Acting Commissioner Willow Baer and her colleagues to AHRC Nassau’s Brookville campus this morning. Parents, siblings, self-advocates, and agency team members engaged in dynamic conversations about key priorities, current supports, and future services for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The meeting was followed by a wonderful tour of AHRC’s Wheatley Farms and Arts Center. Thank you to everyone who contributed to today’s success. We look forward to continuing this important work for all members of our vibrant community. Stanfort Perry Saundra Gumerove, Esq. Our One Stop Gift Shop apprentices hosted a fashion show to model our newest pieces, celebrating our 75th anniversary. The collection includes exclusive fleece sweaters with our 75th-anniversary logo and new 'Be Kind' and 'Spread Kindness Like Wildflowers 🏵️' sweatshirts. The One Stop Gift Shop is partly run by people who benefit from day services as an avenue to develop valuable vocational skills like inventory management, customer service, and shopkeeping. With every purchase, you support skill-building and create opportunities for people with disabilities and the local community. Proceeds help maintain the store's inventory, with the remainder donated to local nonprofits like the Long Island Crisis Center. Grab your new favorite sweater today at https://ow.ly/omWz50Um2Em!
