  • In my career, I have met only a few truly extraordinary people. In the field of architecture, Jon A Clark would fit the category of extraordinary designers. Whether your next project is for your buiness or your personal home, Jon can help you realize your dream. Welcome to the family, Jon!

We are pleased to announce the addition of Jon Clark to the AgeWave team as Vice President of Architecture. Jon holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Florida, where he earned multiple design awards and distinguished himself for achievements in academic excellence. A licensed architect in Florida, Jon is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and is NCARB Certified.   Jon brings a wealth of expertise in both the design and management of commercial and residential architecture. His diverse portfolio encompasses an array of typologies, including motorsports clubs, healthcare facilities, fitness centers, commercial offices, dining establishments, sacred spaces and high-end luxury estates. Most recently, Jon played a key role in the design of Circuit Florida in Auburndale, where he collaborated on-site to create a cohesive architectural vision for the event center, commercial outbuildings, guardhouse, and townhouse-style condominiums.   Jon’s architectural philosophy centers on storytelling through design. He is driven by a commitment to creating innovative, contextually responsive, and functionally intuitive spaces that not only meet the needs of clients but also enhance the communities they inhabit.   In addition to his design expertise, Jon is passionate about mentorship and teaching. He has a proven track record of nurturing emerging talent, actively guiding junior architects and designers in their professional development. Jon believes in fostering a collaborative learning environment, where new architects can grow their skills and gain confidence through hands-on experience and knowledge sharing. His leadership will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of architects at AgeWave, ensuring that they are well-equipped to carry forward our firm’s values of design excellence and innovation.   We are excited to welcome Jon’s creative vision, leadership, and dedication to mentorship to our talented team.

  • As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible collaboration between our team and The Villages Design team. Together, we’ve woven creativity, innovation, and a shared passion for excellence into every project. The dedication and talent of the women on both teams have fueled our success and brought our collective visions to life. As we continue to work hand in hand, we took a break last week to enjoy lunch and honor the achievements of all women, both within our teams and beyond. Here’s to celebrating women’s contributions and empowerment every day! #womenshistorymonth #teamwork #agewavesolutions #thevillages #continuingthedream

  • Homes restaurants, medical offices, etc. would not exist today without the work of dedicated tradesman. In telling the story of her son's love of hands-on work, this writer addresses a very important point about our society and its view of blue collar workers. It is a long LinkedIn post, but a quick and important read. We hope that you enjoy it

Senior graphic designer, data visualizer, writer, and—when time permits—landscape photographer

These ugly, mud-covered work boots belong to my 17-year-old son. And while they may not look like my usual LinkedIn content, I chose to document their filthy condition not because of any beauty they exhibit but because of the work ethic they represent. These boots look this way because my son spends his afternoons and weekends working on farmland and construction sites. He leaves the house while it’s still dark and comes home covered in soot and mud. And even when he’s in school, his mind is traveling to places with soil underfoot and clouds overhead; he wrote his senior research paper on the ethical challenges of industrial farming, and he’s earning high school credit learning to weld. Wherever he ends up in the labor force, I am certain it will be in a career that will put a lifetime of dirt under his fingernails.   I know plenty of people will read this post and think, “That all sounds very wholesome and inspiring for you blue-collar folks, but that’s not really our thing.” Well, I’m not saying it has to be your thing. The truth is that it’s not really *our* thing, either. Ours is a family full of artsy and bookish types. Desk-job types. But this is *his* thing, and it is clearly who he was made to be. And we are so proud of this kid we could burst. He’s earning straight A's as he rounds the bend toward graduation. He’s intensely ambitious. He’s a reliable friend, a fearless athlete, and a steady, generous, and wise son and brother. And he works like an absolute beast. But because this is a platform dominated by white-collar professionals, physical work is something that many prefer to discuss as big-picture labor concerns or faceless data. But when it comes to encouraging our own family members to pursue the tough jobs that leave your boots looking like these? Hard pass. We’re too sophisticated for that. Too educated. Too clean. So here’s my plea: stop it. Stop stigmatizing the trades. Stop bemoaning the shortage of skilled labor while behaving as if laborers are beneath us. Stop pretending these jobs are noble and necessary—but only for other people’s children. Stop thinking we’ve done a good deed by steering boys like mine away from the mud and into the greige walls of a cubicle. When my 17-year-old walks in the door with soot on his face and cuts on his hands, and I ask how his day was, he looks me in the eye and, without hesitation, replies, “Awesome.” How could I not respect that? And while other jobs talk of “building” as a mere metaphor, my son leaves foundation footings, walls, and metal railings in his wake. Shortages in the trades and a shrinking share of young workers are not just numbers that I want others to fix on my behalf. I want my own sons to know that hard work is ennobling, and that if these tough jobs are what they are called to do, then that is exactly where I want them to go. These boots are made for workin’. And God knows we'll need a lot more mud-covered work boots walking this earth in the years ahead.

  • Davon, Amber and Randy recently had the opportunity to represent AgeWave at The Villages High School Career & Technical Workforce kickoff meeting. The program aims to help students gain industry knowledge and certifications within 12 academies, including Engineering. The kickoff event also provided the opportunity to tour Mrs. Nisbet’s Engineering Academy classroom at the newly built High School Campus in Middleton, which was quite impressive to say the least. We are excited to continue our collaboration with VHS and their students, the future is looking bright for generations to come!
