As I head into the final weeks of my internship at ADT, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible experience I've had and share my gratitude for everything I've learned. A Valuable Learning Opportunity: As a recent graduate from FAU, stepping into the role of Smart Home Experience Specialist has been a fantastic opportunity to develop my skills in project management, product ownership, market research, and so much more. This experience has allowed me to provide data-driven insights to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, while also leveraging my aptitude for problem solving and providing innovative solutions. Key Projects and Contributions One of the highlights of my internship was working on the ADT WIFI Fix project. Collaborating with project owner Shruti Elliott and the vendors to help build and scale this initiative was both rewarding and impactful. It gave me the chance to apply my skills and contribute to a major project. I also had the chance to participate in several exciting projects, including: Working with call center managers to create a Tableau report for VSC managers to assist with outlier coaching and provide agents with real-time visibility into their metrics. Providing recommendations for guided process flows and chat feature enhancements, to improve customer experience and smart home awareness. Contributing to a mini-project, where I tested and provided feedback for the ADT State Farm website to enhance the user experience. Achievements and Recognition Beyond the projects, I’m incredibly proud of a few achievements I was able to contribute to during my time here: Winning the Technology Leadership Award for my contributions to the team's innovation efforts. Winning the AI Case Competition and the Intern Olympics alongside and amazing team: Stone Sparkes, Lydia Samuel, Rogit Raaj, Kristyn Johnson. We worked collaboratively to devise creative solutions to real-world AI challenges. Gratitude for Guidance and Mentorship A special thank you again to Shruti Elliott, Donald Young, and Jesse Coomber, and Ben Clark for their invaluable guidance and feedback throughout my internship. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Tyeasha J Williams and Mindy Julius for creating such an amazing internship program. The experience has been truly enriching, and the opportunities provided have set a strong foundation for my future career. Additionally, I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has assisted me throughout this journey—whether through advice, support, or collaboration. Your contributions have made this internship truly unforgettable. The goal of this initiative was to raise awareness about reducing waste, as much of it ends up in landfills.
