Last week, I was honored to speak at the 2024 SEGD Xlab about how tech enables inclusive spaces and retrofuturism. What an exciting event! Last week I was fortunate to attend an imagination-expanding event at SEGD‘s Xlab in NYC: an intersection of immersive, interactive and experiential environments; along with the individuals and agencies pushing their boundaries ahead for brands, entertainment, museums and more. As someone new to this field I'm left feeling thrilled, grateful, and excited to create experiential projects ahead. The biggest surprise of the event for me wasn’t the tech … it was the warmth, kindness and embrace of literally everyone I met and spoke to during our networking mixers. These inspiring experts in their fields were freely sharing tips and insights and genuinely encouraging me to expand my work into this field. All great people with no egos and I’m happy to now count many as new friends. I look very forward to advancing in my own experiential/immersive work journey - and looking forward to future SEGD events!
