Adient, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Dow MobilityScience have developed seat foam using 20% closed-loop recycled components. This innovative process involves recycling PU foams from end-of-life vehicles, creating a new circular polyol integrated into Adient’s seating formulas. Adient and Toyota received two awards from the Society of Plastic Engineers for their IsoDynamic seat system. The companies received a 1st place Automotive Innovation Award and were also the overall Grand Award Winners. The awards recognized “the integration of features into the resin structure for the IsoDynamic seat system.”
