The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program, administered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), supports nearly 2,700 state, tribal, and local governments with clean energy and energy efficiency projects. ACEEE and partners are leading the EECBG Blueprint Cohorts. The blueprint cohorts are designed to support EECBG-eligible entities—including local, state, and tribal governments—with technical training to build capacity, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to design or execute their EECBG projects more effectively. Testimonials and case studies from cities participating in the blueprint cohorts emphasize the value of collaborating with other municipalities working on similar projects related to energy planning. Visit the link below for more information on joining the EECBG Blueprint Cohorts.

Upgrading industrial heating equipment is essential for increasing U.S. competitiveness and reaching #NetZero emissions. But our analysis finds that many industrial facilities are on track to still be using fossil fuel–burning boilers in 2050. Our new brief lays out recommendations for policymakers at every level, agency decision makers, utilities and regulators, vendors and equipment manufacturers, and (most importantly) industrial managers to help⤵️

By pairing Inflation Reduction Act rebates with utility efficiency efforts and growing the utility programs for the long term, we can help households slash their energy bills and create far more jobs than what the federal rebates alone can achieve. Our new brief outlines how well-coordinated programs can expand the set of efficiency measures they offer, increase the savings per project, and increase the number of households served. Learn more⤵️
