About us
A Boy and His Dream is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports underserved youth. We focus our charitable giving on two pillars: Underserved Youth in Chicago and Underserved Youth in Nigeria. A Boy and His Dream seeks to provide youth with the ability to take charge of their lives and overcome obstacles and adversities. The determination to succeed, no matter the cost, is a story we believe gives hope. A Boy and His Dream Foundation focuses on giving back to the Chicago community, the opportunities and knowledge to be successful and healthy. For the underserved youth in Nigeria, we build playgrounds, provide educational sessions, and deliver meals, school supplies, and toys. In March 2023, we built a playground and delivered 50,000 meals, stuffed animals, and school supplies to the schoolchildren in the village of Ekpoma, Nigeria. For the underserved youth in Chicago, we offer a scholarship program where we provide scholarship money for their college education, networking opportunities, and direct 1:1 mentorship.

Today, I had the privilege of sharing a message at Carpenter’s House Community Church about turning trials into triumph. It was a message of hope, faith, and strength, emphasizing the importance of uniting our community and building strong relationships. I related my personal journey to Joseph’s story in the Bible—how he went from prison to becoming a king. If Joseph had known the trials he’d face, he might have refused the journey. Yet, God’s purpose prevailed. It’s a reminder that God has a unique purpose for each of us, even when the path seems challenging. The experience was truly incredible, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a supportive community.
