  • "I've recently celebrated 20 years at our ABF Freight Charlotte, NC service center, but I've been in the LTL industry for 31 years! Driving has been a significant part of my life, involving various jobs since high school. I was a bus driver in high school, a motor transport operator in the Army National Guard, and managed a beer route for a national distributor. I would recommend a reputable or accredited driving school for anyone considering a career in this industry. Good schools will teach you in-depth the rules and regulations and provide instructions on how to conduct a proper pre-trip, along with quality time behind the wheel. Before working at ABF, I had never heard of a truck rodeo. In 2007, I competed in my first rodeo, and I was hooked! I've had so much fun and met so many people from across the country, some with ABF and a lot from other companies that I consider friends if not family. Some of my favorite memories revolve around the ABF Road Team and participating in the Truck Driving Championships. I like to spend my free time going four wheeling, hopping on my Harley and getting some wind therapy, and going to a baseball game."— Allen McNeely
