Jandris is proud to have supplied the concrete masonry for The Revington, a standout residential project located right next to the iconic Polar Park stadium in Worcester, MA. This project, designed by CUBE 3 and crafted by Lighthouse Masonry, Inc., is a great example of how concrete masonry can elevate both the durability and aesthetic of modern urban residences. With its use of banding and mixed materials veneer, The Revington achieves a striking look that enhances Worcester’s evolving cityscape. Our Ground Face CMU in 520G-2 and Split Face in DK-29 were chosen for their ability to provide both style and function, showcasing the building’s distinct architectural design while offering the strength needed to stand the test of time. Whether for urban settings or suburban neighborhoods, CMUs offer unmatched versatility, enhancing the structural integrity of homes while contributing to contemporary design. #CMU #ChooseBlock #ConcreteMasonry #WorcesterMA

The 1980s were a decade of growth and innovation for Jandris, setting the stage for future success. The real game-changer came during a family trip to Austria where Albert Jandris, inspired by European producers, saw an opportunity to innovate. Unable to find the right machinery to grind concrete blocks to his standards, Albert designed and built his own. This led to the construction of a 17,000 square foot grinding plant, where Jandris could now produce ground face blocks on site. This milestone not only expanded our product line but also paved the way for the innovative spirit that defines us to this day. #FamilyBusiness #BusinessGrowth #Throwback #FamilyOwned #CMU

October is #NationalEnergyAwarenessMonth, making it the perfect time to highlight the energy-saving benefits of concrete masonry. Concrete block is not only durable and strong but also an excellent choice for energy efficiency. Thanks to its high thermal mass, concrete masonry naturally regulates indoor temperatures by absorbing and storing heat energy. This means buildings stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer — reducing the strain on HVAC systems and lowering overall energy consumption. In fact, buildings made with concrete block can help cut down on energy costs and minimize carbon footprints. CMUs ability to store heat and release it gradually reduces the need for constant temperature adjustments, making it a sustainable and cost-effective building solution. As we focus on energy awareness and consumption this month, recognize how building materials like concrete masonry can play a role in creating a more sustainable future. Build with block. #CMU #ThermalMass #EnergyAwarenessMonth #SustainableBuilding
