This Monday was action-packed for our team! We're thrilled to share two major projects that took big steps forward: 🏗️ Groundbreaking of Home2 Suites by Hilton in Pasco, WA: Our partners at Fowler General Construction officially broke ground on our Home2 Suites by Hilton at the Tri-Cities Airport - PSC bringing a new level of comfort and convenience to the City of Pasco area. 🔨 Renovation Begins at the Monarch Hotel and Conference Center: Renovation is underway to transform this property into a Hilton Garden Inn by Hilton set to open Late Spring 2025. We're excited to bring this new chapter to life and elevate the guest experience in Clackamas County. Grateful to our dedicated teams and partners who are making these projects possible! Stay tuned for updates as we continue to grow and serve our communities.

Vijay Patel, president of A-1 Hospitality Group, will receive the Burtenshaw Lifetime Achievement Award for Lodging recognizing outstanding contributions to the hospitality industry through extraordinary volunteer service at this year's Washington Hospitality Conference. Throughout his career, Patel’s focus on partnerships and economic development has greatly benefited the hospitality and tourism industries and the communities they serve. He founded the A-1 Hospitality Group with his wife, Mita, in 1997 and expanded it to include 14 branded hotels in five states. As a board member and then chair of the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association, he fostered collaboration between hotels and restaurants. He continued that work as a Board member in Washington to help make the merger of the two sectors into the Washington Hospitality Association a success. Patel also helped establish the Asian American Hotel Owners Association in the Pacific Northwest. He has played an equally important role in public-private partnerships to revitalize communities. He currently serves as Treasurer and one of the founding members of the Washington Tourism Marketing Authority Board.
