If you are convicted, when your probation has been fully completed, an additional 5 year penalty will be accessed before you may apply for a new CCW. If you get a DUI while carrying or possessing your firearm your permit will be revoked immediately until the outcome of your case. Here at 2nd A Firearms Training, LLC we are Certified California P.O.S.T. Firearms Instructors. We are scheduling the DOJ Mandated 16 Hour CCW Initial Training Course for those that applied for their CCW after January 1, 2024. If you applied prior to January 1, 2024, you are only required to take the 8 Hour Initial CCW Course that we also offer. When you receive your approval email letter from SDSO, please go to our website https://www.2aftng.com to schedule your course. We are here to answer any and all of your questions regarding this process.
