Rule number 1 of PR is - DO NOT try and do damage control by throwing in positive things about you when you know you’ve screwed up and there’s negative information about you. Just do not try and highlight positive things at that time. Accept whatever you did, apologise, do not give justifications and get off social media for a bit to clear your mind.
