It would do us well to first take a look at the meaning for the words we use - are we carrying the version we picked up from family friends colleagues or did we define it for ourselves. Balance and Productivity. Imagine a seasaw or a chess board...what would be balance , what would be productive on a chess board.. upwards downwards forwards backwards sidewards even...do we really play around thus to maintain a sense of balance? Balance has 2 sides to the coin, ratio and duration. Sometimes work is 70 health is 30 ...for how long is what is experienced as imbalance. 1. Conscious Awareness and taking stock multiple times a day 2. Effort estimation- optimistic pessimistic realistic,gives us flexibility 3. Art of saying Yes to what matters

Often people aren’t busy because they have to be. They are busy because they are afraid to relax - the fear of not being enough, having enough, the fear of being still….so they keep busy busy busy. So finding balance is a much deeper idea that takes real introspection and inner work not just a list of do’s and don’t.

I believe in the power of mindfulness, but it is also essential to implement other strategies to achieve a good work-life balance. For instance, learning to prioritize and delegate allows you to focus on the most important tasks. Learning to say "no" is equally important, as it helps you protect your time by being selective about taking on additional work. Finally, and for me the most important, is incorporating activities that help you relax, such as walking, exercising, playing guitar, or listening to music, anything that makes you feel free and ready to start again.

I would suggest: - Clear your mind by making a daily/weekly to-do list. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the number of tasks. By making a to-do list and prioritizing it, one can manage energy smartly. - Take a 2-minute break between the tasks for relaxation and mindfulness. Set a reminder. - Commit to leaving the work at a certain time and spend time with who and what helps you to refuel your energy tanks.

Productivity hacks like batching tasks or automating become my besties, so I can get more done in less time. Oh, and I treat relaxation like it’s a meeting with a CEO (aka Me, Inc.)—non-negotiable! Whether it’s a quick walk, jamming to my playlist, or a guilt-free nap, I remind myself that a recharged mind crushes work way better than a burned-out one. Balance = boss vibes.
