After putting everything into a project—long hours, meeting every demand—the client can still pull the plug, and sometimes, instead of support, you face scrutiny from your own company. This has underscored the importance of boundaries to prevent overcommitment and maintain work-life balance. Boundaries are more than personal—they safeguard fair working practices and build resilience when challenges outside your control arise.

1. Balancing Work and personal care daily . The “Power of When” philosophy has served me well in this effort to optimize my most productive times of the day for project work and for life work. 2. Mondays are admin days: a day to prep for work goals for the week, to take care of business and financial management and office logistics. NO MEETINGS! A business personal day. 3. Maintain clear communication with clients about project progress at an established interval (weekly or monthly). This allows reassessment of workflow, project goals for phase completion and any challenges occurring with creating a solution that affect the previous two assessments.
