Skilled personnel can perform extra ordinary when we provide culture in what they feel free to discuss anything regarding their task and oppertunity. So safe and positive culture will be good enough to push them to do best.

This is definitely a very important topic. Despite being a physician by background, I believe that healthcare professionals are really difficult to deal with, let alone trying to motivate them. There is a lot of evidence to support my belief, and there are several papers evaluating the reasons behind it. In my opinion, two of the most effective approaches to overcome these difficulties are a strategic plan with clear goals, and good communication skills. I’ve tried these approaches, amongst others as well, when I was the Chief of Medical Services in the army and found them to be effective.

Creating opportunities for providers to become contributors and stakeholders to both the development and success of initiatives is an effective way to increase meaningful engagement. Allowing providers to not only feel heard in the process but to feel invested in the outcome of a project is key.
