One thing to add up front is to tell the physician ... I need 2 minutes tops. And stick to 2 minutes. If he drags you over that time limit call him/her out. My 2 minutes are up, go to go. Help keep them on schedule and they always make time for you. Respect the clock

I think even more persuasive can be the approach of getting to know the physician and what his/her personal priorities are, and tailor your message to your client.
