The discussion regarding should be its functionality, advantages and future scope. Inculcating these experiences will not come as a challenge instead this is the expansion.

Getting senior leadership on board with AR is like pitching the benefits of upgrading from dial-up to fiber broadband – you’ve got to show the value. Start by sharing real examples of how AR can enhance daily operations, from virtual product demos to immersive training sessions, just like streamlining a workflow with automation. Break it down in simple terms: AR isn’t just cool tech; it’s a tool that boosts efficiency, reduces errors, and creates new revenue streams. Give them a live demo, let them experience the potential firsthand. Show them that adopting AR is not just innovation—it’s the future of smart business.

I would demonstrate a few prototypes of AR applications in daily life to the leadership and then discuss again. The discussion would be related to the functionality, advantages, usages, scaling, product development and finally the budget.

I bring AR to the boardroom by showcasing its practical benefits, integrating it into presentations, and demonstrating real-world use cases to drive engagement and innovation.

To engage senior leadership in incorporating AR into daily operations, present clear value through data and case studies that align with business goals. Propose a low-risk pilot project to demonstrate effectiveness and highlight potential ROI. Educate leadership through workshops to raise awareness of AR benefits. Address concerns about costs and implementation, offering solutions. Identify internal champions who support the initiative to amplify your case. Finally, create a compelling vision showing the long-term benefits of AR, inspiring leadership to invest in the initiative for enhanced efficiency and innovation.

To convince management of an Augmented Reality (AR) project, you need two key things: a small demonstrator to showcase its potential and a business case with clear ROI. A demonstrator makes the technology tangible, helping leaders grasp its benefits firsthand. A solid business case with defined return on investment illustrates the project’s economic value and reduces perceived risks. By combining an engaging demo with a compelling business case, you address both emotional and rational concerns, increasing the likelihood of management approval.

If you associate any technology with benefits, it will be noticed. My thought process works like this - create demos and demonstrate how it can save your costs and improve the process with facts.

When we are in corporate or hierarchical structure it is almost important to make everyone on the same page, explain the thought process behind your work, feature update, make sure to show them the impact they are going to get by implementing the AR solution. Always have a discussion about feasibility in terms of economy and time. Once it fits on most of the parameters, you can tell them to give your proper feedback too.

I was always a big believer in AR as the future of the sports media business, merging the on site experience with the at home experience. Even though Sports media and sports in general tend to be rather conservative, AR represents an opportunity to grow the business at a time where ROI are harder and harder to find, so it should really be a no brainer when showing the potential benefits against the (limited) risks involved.
-
You should just show them, then present them with a short pitch of how it’s relative to their business. AR does a good job selling itself…
