🔶🔷"Juggling remote drilling teams is like hosting a chaotic family dinner—everyone has priorities, and they rarely match. First, set up clear communication channels; misaligned teams are like arguing cousins. Use a priority matrix to sort urgent from 'it can wait' (because not everything's a crisis). Regular check-ins? Think of them as your family roundtable—share updates, settle disputes, and keep everyone on track. How do you keep the peace (and the productivity)? Let’s compare notes!"

To maintain alignment among my remote drilling teams amidst conflicting priorities, I establish robust communication channels that ensure seamless information flow and real-time updates across all units. I implement a priority matrix to effectively differentiate and manage urgent versus important tasks, ensuring that critical operations receive immediate attention. Additionally, I schedule regular performance reviews and progress monitoring sessions to swiftly address any emerging issues and recalibrate plans as necessary. These strategies collectively enable agile and efficient management of priorities, ensuring that all teams remain focused and synchronized with operational objectives.

Managing conflicting priorities with remote drilling teams is all about setting clear goals and making sure everyone’s on the same page about what really matters. You’ve got to keep the vibes right with solid communication tools—think Slack or Teams—to stay connected and avoid any confusion. Regular syncs are a must to squash overlaps and keep everyone aligned, but the key is trusting your people and giving them the power to make decisions on the fly. Stay flexible, keep an eye on progress, and adapt as things change—because let’s be real, nothing ever goes 100% to plan, and that’s where the magic happens.

1. Assign the PIC for each remote operation and create communication channel to allow people give / send report, concern and advice. 2. Have regular meeting and report submission on daily basis and conduct meeting for special attention. 3. Do not spend too much time talking in general meeting with all teams. Immediately addres issues in next meeting for concerned team. 4. Have plans ahead for operation, personnel and logistic/movement. Assign personnel to handle this work, both technical and support personnel.

Prioritize and Clarify Objectives Define clear priorities: Clearly outline the most critical tasks and goals for each drilling team. Prioritize activities based on factors like safety, deadlines, resource availability, and project impact. Use a priority matrix: Implement tools like the Eisenhower Matrix or other decision-making frameworks to differentiate between urgent and important tasks. Effective Communication Centralized communication channels: Use digital communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom) to ensure real-time updates and transparency across teams. Regular meetings: Conduct structured check-ins (daily or weekly) to discuss progress, address challenges, and align priorities.

Clarity in Communication is non negotiable as this will not only avoid individual perceptions on priorities but also eliminates any safety concern may arise due to miscommunication. When we follow SOP and a defined process under normal conditions, we need not to interfere with the system but in case of and situations arising from unwanted ripples, top down approach is advisable to have better control and experienced interface to deal with the situation. Conflicting priorities needs to be vetted as per the available resources and channeled in such a way to avoid and incidents, optimize cost and time factors and safety of man and machines
