Unexpected technical issues during a motivational talk can be unsettling, but they’re also a chance to showcase adaptability. Start by addressing the problem calmly to reassure your audience. Use the pause to share a personal story or key message that doesn’t rely on visuals. If possible, switch to alternative tools like a whiteboard or verbal explanation to keep the flow. Always maintain a positive tone, showing that setbacks can be managed with confidence and creativity. This not only saves your talk but also reinforces your message of resilience.

Agradeça: Valorize a paciência do público.

1. Stay Calm and Composed: -Breathe Deeply: Take a few deep breaths to center yourself. -Maintain Eye Contact: Connect with your audience, even if you're facing technical difficulties. 2. Adapt Your Approach: -Switch Gears: If technology fails completely, transition to a more traditional format. -Use Improvisation: Turn the unexpected into an opportunity for humor or a powerful message. For example, you could say, "Well, sometimes technology has its own way of adding a little excitement to the show!" 3. Communicate Effectively: Be Transparent: Keep the audience informed about the situation without being overly apologetic.

Some things which can help in such a situation include 1) Try to be in the moment. Continue the talk by bringing in a relevant topic which fits the context 2) If possible convey the incovenience and carey on with the topic being said

Technical glitches? They’re just life giving you a chance to shine. Acknowledge it with humor (‘Looks like my improv skills are up for a test today!’) and turn it into a connection moment (‘What’s the best tech fail you’ve seen? Mine might be happening right now!’). Then, pivot like a pro—continue without slides or use the moment to highlight your adaptability. People don’t remember perfect presentations; they remember how you made them feel. Humor, authenticity, and composure under pressure always outshine flawless tech.

I’m not sure I would recommend this strategy but one time I gave a talk all my videos wouldn’t play, so I just acted them out! 😂
