To ensure smooth transition it's necessary to ensure we move to next speaker when earlier one has completed his suggestions or views. Don't interrupt in between. Also at the same time discuss time lines well in advance to all speakers. Keep some signs of mutual communication during discussion to give some hint to speakers. Ask Speakers to maintain flow and remain connected with subject under discussion.

A few tips from my experience: Prepare & Share an Agenda: Make sure your speakers are aware of when they will speak. Transition: When a facilitator’s topic is concluding, take over politely. Thank the speaker, then introduce the next topic and speaker. If possible, connect the current discussion to the next topic to create a natural flow. For example, "Since we discussed new opportunities in the market, let's now move to our next topic to see how R&D can support market development, with our next expert and speaker..." If the topic is entirely different, that’s also fine, and you can highlight that as well. For example, "Let's now move to a totally different topic with another great guest speaker..."

A detailed agenda with a pre briefing before the session always helps. Also announcing the flow of the event before starting the panel discussion helps a lot Ensuring that the questions are mentioned with the panelists name on the slides.

Firstly - try best to have an interview person meeting. Secondly ,only in the worst case scenario ,have a virtual meeting. Third - use the chat box to give directions if required. Sometimes a good joke can awaken PPL too All said and done a virtual meeting will never be as effective an office meeting. We will always have half sleepy people who hardly ever listen to the other person talking.

Well, the session should be divided into topics. The topics should be introduced by me as the person managing the session. For each topic, there should be a predefined time and it should be mentioned. Sticking to the predefined time is key so that everyone can participate. In virtual platforms there is the possibility to raise your hand, so this is how I control who is going to participate first. I believe this is the logical way to proceed. Keeping a positive and polite attitude as a moderator and not getting involved will bring the session to success.
