Firstly, Ensure that you have given tangible feedback based on the employee's performance and behavioral aspects. Don't give general or vague comments. After that, 1. Monitor their executions' and understand if their performance aligns with your suggestions. If not, schedule the time, sit with them and reiterate. 2. Ensure that you are not micro-managing while acting promptly. 3. Ask them about the differences made after inculcating the new approach. Encourage open communication. Most important of all- always starts and ends the conversation with positive notes by sharing their accomplishments and good work done so far. This helps maintain morale and motivation.

Remote feedback is always tricky. You can hit a wrong nerve or sound rude even without any intention of doing that. So, there is a need to make remote communication more personalized. Doing this on a video call is a must. Be very straight forward about what you want to say, yet at the same be empathetic of the situation of your team member. Also, along with the feedback, let your team member know how they can progress.
