Giving colleagues the time and space to express themselves verbally, but also with online tools such as Zoom and Teams, the Chat and reactions to messages are also a great way to show you are listening to your colleagues and implementing what they are saying and for giving feedback in meetings. Using tools such as a shared document, to leave constructive feedback can also be useful. Be mindful of language, tone and usefulness of feedback. Why not ask colleagues who and when they would like feedback?

Set clear expectations to mantain respect at all times. And stick to the main focus of the meeting , so participants engage in the agenda and don’t space out. Keeping the meeting short , sweet , and simple 👌🏽

Emotional Intelligence, vulnerability, and active listening! I found that staying curious, asking questions, addressing feedback, and not taking anything personal has gone a long way. Listen actively for keywords and language patterns to respond in their language. Everyone just wants to be heard and leaders can do that for their team. The meaning of communication is the response you get. I usually start by being vulnerable myself first to create a safe space, judgment-free, allowing feedback to flow. Utilize green hat thinking when it comes to brainstorming so that it doesn't hinder great ideas. How do you all feel about how self-awareness and mindset mastery can transform leadership! Allowing space for relationship building and fostering trust among team members. Once this is created it allows for the feedback among team members and the continued practice of active listening.

Make sure the meeting agenda is structured with timings for each point/subject matter and sufficient time for each contributor to have their input. Don’t be afraid to end the conversation if it is getting out of hand or off track.

One thing I have found is very simple. To get people to engage and participate on amy level be sure you are and active participant too. Do not ask your employees or colleagues to take part in something you yourself are not willing to do as well.
