However, a key aspect of marketing is gathering market insights in terms of what is needed but not available in terms of product and price. This means a continous loop of communication must be kept rolling between marketing and Engineering. Having joint insights meetings between the two teams is critical to establich the symbiotic relationship. Marketing team gains insights on the actual product offerings as well as what the future of technology looks like. Engineering on the other hand gains immensely concerning what is actually needed; talk of focused improvements on where the money is.
