Sometimes life throws extreme challenges your way that you just have to soldier through. When my brother passed away suddenly, it left me and my family in shock. It was an incredibly sad and challenging time, but the reality is that life doesn’t stop. I had to organize the funeral, manage family matters, care for my parents, and still continue working to earn a living. What helped me navigate this was focusing on my 4 pillars of life: Health, connection, wealth and contribution. These not only kept me grounded but also gave me the strength to push through difficult periods while honoring my responsibilities, even before a crucial presentation.

Remember always: Should something tragic happen, you will replaced at work within the month and the first questions from your company will be along the lines of is the work load covered? Are the clients informed? let’s list the vacancy tomorrow. There will only be devastation at home, and the loss felt there will never be recovered and you will never be replaced. Choose wisely, find balance and remember why you’re doing what you’re doing and especially who for.

Despite life being extremely fast paced and demanding, learning to prioritise tasks, being flexible, and delegating helps - Always ask yourself, "What is the most urgent?" I think it’s important to firstly take care of one’s self and make sure that a good balanced nutrition diet and rest are vital .
