Job Search is draining and can turn into burnout badly if you don't take care of your self and your lifestyle/routine. Make a simple routine of job search and try out working well for it. 💯 Early to bed and early to rise (gives you ample time of productive hours during the day and good rest at night) 💯 Start managing hours of applying jobs, networking and communication. 💯 Take breaks in between during the day just like you would do at your work 💯 Finish your day in evening around 5am or 6. Let's say your ideal day should look like 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm. 💯 Try to eat healthy, exercise, walk and pray (meditation) Hope this all helps because same I did in my job search and achieved the job in UAE 🇦🇪

Remain calm! Fear drives people to apply for everything in hopes something will stick. Applying to 100 jobs you are not qualified for renders 100 rejections but applying to five jobs that you're certain you can do, increases your chances of getting hired by 500%. Read the job duties and ask yourself, "have I done that? OR can I do that if given the opportunity?". If you can do it but haven't your task is to translate the experience you do have into terms that convinces the new job you are qualified. If you have done it see if you can use the target job's language to talk about your experience. When in doubt, ask. Reach out to someone on that team or the recruiter and ask if they think you're a good fit.

To avoid burnout while juggling job applications and relaxation, prioritize your time. Set specific hours for job searching and stick to them, giving yourself breaks to recharge. Focus on quality over quantity—apply to roles that align with your goals instead of mass-applying. Incorporate relaxation techniques like mindfulness, exercise, or hobbies into your routine to unwind. Stay organized with a tracker to reduce stress about follow-ups. Keep a positive mindset by celebrating small wins, like completing an application. Lastly, maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting boundaries and ensuring self-care stays a priority.

Searching for a job is a job in itself. To avoid burnout, set specific hours every day for job searching, ask an expert for consultation on how to apply effectively, and if you're using the wrong approach; hints will let you advance in your job search and make your goal achievable sooner.

STOP playing by ear. There’s nothing to be burned out about if you know how to navigate the job search. If you have applied to 100+ jobs and are not landing interviews, continuing to apply won’t solve it. If you have attended multiple interviews and not converted them into job offers, continuing to interview won’t solve it. Just like there are mechanics who know how to fix your engine, there are professionals who specialize in job searching (it’s a skill). Put your ego and pride aside, and reach out to get the job you want. It’s not a matter of time, it’s a matter of skill. Fracturing your knee and having it heal is a matter of time (and sometimes physio). Getting the job you want is about being strategic.

To avoid burnout, I tell my clients to M.E.O.W. The first step is to identify meaning in what you're doing. You're not just doing this to pay the mortgage. What gives your search MEANING? The second step is to fully ENGAGE. When you are fully engaged, the search goes faster & you'll come across as enthusiastic about the position. Third, get ORGANIZED. I'm not talking about having your files in order or drawing up a mean excel spreadsheet (although that's good too). I'm talking about having everything ready to do the work ahead. Set everything up the night before & in the morning, it'll be 10x easier to get started. Finally, visualize the WIN. It can help you see each step clearly & connect with the desired end result.

Balance is key when managing job applications and relaxation. Limit your application time to a few hours daily and focus on roles that truly match your interests. Use the rest of the day for activities that help you unwind, like reading, meditating, or connecting with friends. Stay organized with a tracker to avoid feeling overwhelmed, and don’t hesitate to step back for a day if you need to recharge.
