Even superheroes need downtime! 🦸♀️ Schedule those self-care appointments like you would a client meeting. Treat your well-being as a non-negotiable to avoid burnout and show up as your best self.

Self-care is always my top priority. Without it, nothing else gets done effectively. As we say in Tamil, “Suvar irunthāl thaan chithiram,” meaning only if the wall is strong can we paint on it. Similarly, taking care of yourself helps you perform at your best. Self-care doesn’t require hours. Just 10–15 minutes of small actions like 1 minute of deep breathing, 3 minutes of silence, and 5–10 minutes of stretching can work wonders. Even during a busy day, I take 2–3 short breaks to practice these. They energize me and often spark fresh ideas. Self-care isn’t optional—it’s essential for sustained success.

It is very important to know how to delegate tasks and prioritize tasks through good work planning. Trying to be as fluid as possible in work while managing enormous pressure. Developing a winning mentality can also help overcome workload and avoid impacting personal time.

Balancing a challenging client portfolio and self-care is all about smart prioritization. Start with clear boundaries — set work hours and stick to them. Delegate tasks to your capable team (after all, superheroes have sidekicks!). Use the "power of pause" to take short, mindful breaks during the day, even if it’s just to pet Casper or sip tea. Schedule non-negotiable self-care slots, like a morning walk or weekend drives. Remember, even CEOs meditate — if they can, so can you! Lastly, celebrate small wins to keep stress at bay. Think of self-care as recharging your battery — because an empty tank won’t take you far!

Balancing a demanding client portfolio, especially when shifting from high-volume, lower-dollar accounts to fewer, higher-stakes ones, means finding your groove and sticking to “win after win after win.” Setting practical expectations is key—if you’re squeezing 51 cents out of 50, quick action matters. In today’s markets, clients can be aloof, leaving you uncertain until decisions are final. When that happens, embrace small wins and celebrate milestones, even if the recognition feels muted. Executive profiles often wait for the big result before celebrating, which can be frustrating. The answer? Stay adaptable, keep moving forward, and as Nike says, just do it. Don't be afraid to purpose additional end points for you also. Stick to it.

I my opinion plan, strategy & deliberate execution is important & more important than the above is contingency planning. Focus on milestones set and execute deliberately one will automatically get breaks. Self-care is an aspect of self-motivation, we all have time but, how we utilize our time is what makes us different. More importantly if you are not healthy, you will not be able to deliver, which is a loss.

One thing that helps me manage a very busy schedule with self-care is setting intentional boundaries with my time. I carve out specific slots in my day, even if it’s just 15-20 minutes, dedicated solely to self-care practices that re-energize me. Whether it’s a quick meditation, mindful breathing, or just taking a break to read something light, treating this time as non-negotiable ensures I show up fully for everything else. It’s not about how long you spend, but about committing to moments that ground you—because you can’t pour from an empty cup.
